London: Rupert Hart-Davis, 1957-1961

8vo., 4 vols; in blue/cream wraps, Invasion 1940 printed directly to upper cover, and containing numerous black and white photographs, illustrations and diagrams; the other volumes with white printed label and with no additional plates; very good copies all, some light spotting, particularly to outer edges and prelims, and previous owner’s pencil marks to first few pages; Invasion 1940 with the title later written in ink along spine; The Siege at Peking a little creased at edges, with tape reinforcement along spine and some symbols in blue biro to lower cover. Provenance: Goodbye to the Bombay Bowler and Invasion 1940 from the archive of Ian Fleming bibliographer Jon Gilbert, with his pencil name to the half title. 

 Pre-publication proof copies of four important Peter Fleming titles.
